HELP! power steering swap
My 78 F150 has a LINCOLN <a href="http://motorhaven.autoanything.com/">460 </a>with their goofy crank mounted power steering pump. Two months ago a replaced all the internal seals because it would leak a quart a day. Last night I was at the local Menards picking up parts for my dad's shed and suddenly I have no power steering. The dang pump pumped all the power steering fluid into the oil pan. I need to swap in a conventional power steering pump. Has anyone done this!? Can I take the guts out of the lincoln pump and seal off the inlet and outlet and just put in a regular pump? I am tired of this crap!!! Please help
