460 IMCO system
I have looked at many vacuum diagrams for this 1978 f-150,460 auto,
there is a picture of the tag on the valve cover in my album,
and I have decided that this needs the 8-97-RO drawing but haven't found a legible copy anywhere, have looked at Mil1ion's pages and this diagram isn't up there.
78 F-150 Trailer Special,460 auto trans,j code in the VIN,San Jose plant
No EGR Valve, phenolic spacer under 4350 carb,no air pump, heads have holes but have a small ":freeze" plugs in them,
I recently had to replace the water pump, then timing cover, water passages in timing cover eroded away. In the process,I replaced thermostat housing, and the old ported vacuum wouldn't come out, so new 3 port ported switch,NAPA could not find a 3 port vacuum switch that is black in color ,only yellow so not sure if this is correct ported switch for 1978.
so I guess my question is, is this setup possible? as from the Factory?
(no EGR,No pump)
