code 0341
I got a CEL yesterday. Looked it up on the ScanGauge II, and it showed code 0341. I think thats something to do with the crank position sensor. So I clear it...but the light stays on. Hoped it would reset after I shut it off, so today I go start it again...lights on, and the code is back. I clear the code, but the lights still on. Truck is running good...nothing obvious going on. Any ideas ? Thanks.

It's a cam position sensor circuit code. Check the plug in and harness for oil contamination and connection as the code indicates an intermittent signal. The sensor itself very RARELY fails but the o-rings do and the oil can cause a signal problem. IIRC the sensor is only for starting anyway and if it was bad you'd have a no start situation.
