It all started well enough, I brought the truck into the shop..... After that well, things didn't really go as planed. First off my fuel pressure gauge that I installed a month ago was resting on 80psi and that was with the truck shut off. After further investigation I found that the grease gun hose that I had used had swelled up on the inside and was plugged and my high dollar, oh I mean cheap *** liquid filled gauge was shot. Depending on what angle I held the gauge at it would change from 55 lbs to 80 lbs.
OK back to the task at hand, the injectors. The drivers side went well I did the quick method, pull the old injector out and replace it with the new one. After I had installed the new one I would check the old unit out for torn or missing O-rings and if the copper washer was still there. With the driver side done I moved to the passenger side, that rear bolt on valve cover is a beggar. Anyway pulled the front injector replaced it with the new one and then....... Oh No the old injector had no copper washer. After a bit of frustration trying to get the old washer out it became clear that it was a futile attempt as I was detecting anti-freeze in the cup.
I now have I new tool and a set of injector cups on the way.
Thanks Jim for all of your assistance and your fine service.
Sense I couldn't install my injectors I decided to fix some small stuff and noticed that my coolant tank reservoir was dirty on the inside. I took it out of there and tried to clean it up some man there was a bunch of junk in there. Let a lone this slime all over the top part, that was probable a little bit of fuel contamination, maybe.
Anyway maybe going forward I will do a better job at maintaining the truck.
It would leak or more like pour probable in the cylinder if you didn't drain the coolant first. I don't exactly know what it looks like with then removed but I suspect with them removed it will open up into a water jacket.

OK I received the tool and injector cups today. Thanks Jim for your prompt service and all your help.
I didn't have much time but I did pull the front two cups from the passenger side, the very front one was the bad one. Is it possible that the injector did not have a copper washer? Looking at the bottom of the cup on the inside the marks that are there, clean portion is not the same as the one with the washer.
The cup that was leaking was cracked, two cracks running from the bottom up the cup a little and then another running around the bottom between the two cracks.
Does 168 in lbs of torque sound about right for the glow plug's? How about the oil deflector tube my manual says 106 in lbs, but it also says the injectors should be 108 in lbs not 120 in lbs like I have read here.
