On the bright side, his STC fitting will be updated!
Yup it is a 2005, so my thinking is might as well replace it while your there.
Everytime I think of the STC going in mine I somewhat remember a 96 hour druken daze in Tuscaloosa, AL. Stumbling from Chiles bar and grill to my hotel room and cussing my somewhat new to me truck the whole way.
I ended up buying a 300ZX to complete my trip in, which ended up being a total piece of crap. Grumble Grumble, but that is before I found this site and things have turned around since then. Now I understand and love my truck!!!

Reason: forgot quote
What can I say, I had to do something... But I agree, its probably the FICM. Havent loadtested the batteries but they can crank the car forever, I dont think thats the problem. I was out of the country the whole winter and had the batteries drained completely. Whife charged them and they seem fine I came back and the truck worked great for a month until this. Could this have killed the FICM?

And what update on the STC? Were do get it?
You could try the DIY FICM repair process, there are threads allover this site for it.
Here's a couple articles for you that explain the STC fitting debacle. But like was said before it doesn't sound like your problem.
This is exactly why I love this forum and you guys, especially hubler. You gave me a morning grin with your escapades on the road and how frustrating it can be.
To the original poster, low battery voltage can contribute to a failure but your wife had the truck at full charge before operating.

Well, I think she tried to start it first... But nevertheless, it worked fine several months after.
Report on my truck. I sent the FICM to curcuit board medics and updated the STC and turbo drain tube.
Took a month to get the FICM but thats how long it takes to ship to and from US. SBM did a great job, shipped it back aftar just a day or two.
Put it all together and now its like new.
Thanks for all help!
