I was all through with the patching, I had the truck with miner skimcoat stuff to do ,then i asked for paint help and FTE friends educated me, wich i cannot express how much i appreciated ther help. However i am taking there years of experience to heart so after having it together now i am taking it apart again to do it corectly. Ive always driven the truck regardless of how much sheet metal i had or i should say didnt have. No dought i will still be driving it as i paint parts one at a time, the local PD is pretty cool since its a small town. NO complaints here I love working on My truck. Just givin an update while I waite for a gallon ( I mean 0.8 gallon ha ha) of Rage gold to arive so i can smooth out and epoxy my doors and jams, #1 on my list. Well i hope everyone had a pleasnt holiday. (JIMMY)
Nice Jim I will be following your progress,I might follow your steps i need to take the front sheet metal to do a ton of work.
I will be looking up to you, keep it up!!!
Don't feel so bad Jim. I think I've RAN backwards at this point. I bought my '56 with the intent on putting the tranny back in it and tie up a few loose ends and be driving it. Well... turns out, 4 months later, its still siting in my shop with a least a few more weekends of work left to do. If I'm lucky I'll be able to drive it by the time the 1st leaf hits the ground...
