Hey guys,
hope someone here can help. I am doing my first E4OD rebuild. When I pulled the accumlator body off I can hear springs and valves rattle around inside. Is this normal?? Like I said, I have never overhauled this trans before. Wasn't sure if it was normal. 96' powerstroke 4WD. Thanks,

 

Yes you can hear some of the springs move around, if you are going to install a shift kit you will be replacing those springs.
