hard to shift
I have a 95 F150 4x4, 4.9 with the 5 speed manual. I had the (original) clutch replaced at 179k two years ago. It is now at 192k and when it is at a full stop, it can be hard to put into any gear. Eventually I can jam it in by bouncing around the gears and then back into either first or reverse (all while stopped and the clutch in all the way.) My impression is that the clutch is not fully releasing, as once in a while the gears grind when I'm at a full stop and shifting. I checked the fluid reservoir and it is full.
During normal driving it shifts okay.
Suggestions?

Mine does the same, if I'm stopped and in neutral. When I go to take off, I have to 'rock' each gear to get it in 1st. I keep it in 1st/2nd, clutch in, so when I need to take off, well I'm ok. Also, my 3rd gear clashes sometimes. (No other gear...)I've heard a good fluid change and additive can fix this...I'm due for it anyway.

Hydraulic Clutch Troubleshooting .: Articles Have a read here. Also check for any signs of fluid on the firewall just below the pushrod, if any found replace the master cyl.
