Hi, I have a 2000 ex that recently has been hesitating while idle and then again somewhere between 40 and 50 mph. Otherwise it runs fine. I keep adding gas thinking maybe I had bad gas but it remains consistant. Any places you would check? Thanks.
Can you recommend a good code reader? I am new to this.
Not sure what a misfire sounds/or feels like. But I was thinking about the plugs. I have only had it a few months and have no idea when they were replaced. Thanks.
I have Scangauge II that is always hooked up. I use it to monitor my trans temp. It also has a code reader. It plugs right into your OBDII plug just below your steering wheel.
If you don't know when the plugs were changed when you bought it and it is around the 100K miles mark, then I would go ahead and replace them along with the rubber boots since you will eventually need to do it. Who knows, by changing the plugs and boots, it could resolve your hesitation issue...maybe.
