Amsoil oil filter

Amsoil has a filter listed for my 2005 F-350 6.0l. I've heard to only run the factory oil filter, but I've had great results with Amsoil in my other vehicles and snowmobiles. I'm also planning to run Amsoil 15w-40 diesel full synthetic. Anyone run this before and or anything I should know?

The oil is good, but I'd stick with the motorcraft filter to insure proper fit. I'd still change th oil every 5000-7000 miles no mater what amsoil tells you.

These engines are very sensitive to oil pressures and oil flow I would question if I would risk the engine. Unless the oil filter company would place a guarantee on it. But then they might make you prove it was the filter that caused the failure.
I save some money on filters by getting my filters from International and they are the racor filter.

I'm running Amsoil 15w40 now with a by-pass but will be switching to Amsoil 5w40 for better start ups in the winter. What every oil you use is up to you but you need to us Ford or Racor filter and even with a by-pass i still change my oil at 5k because of the shear of the oil by the injectors but when mine is running it is pulling a 14k 5er so it gets a workout look here

Lot of guys get there filters here

amsoil is very expensive. I would not use it. If you want a good oil use mobil 1 5w-40.

I ran Amsoil fluids and Motorcraft filters on my 6.0 for 120,000 miles with no problems. The only exception was the bypass filter, which I used Amsoil. Early on I tried Amsoil's EAO88 filter that was supposed to be for our trucks. The filter kept collapsing prior to the next oil change. This was a known issue with this filter and Amsoil eventually took it off the market. They have since replaced it, but since that time I have always stayed with the Ford recommended filter products.

I have NEVER seen an oil analysis of Amsoil in a 6.0 that was better than Mobil1 TDT 5w-40, Rotella T6 5w-40, Delvac 1 5W-40, or any other synthetic diesel 5w-40.

Why in the heck would you run Amsoil when the results are no better than Rotella T6 at $20 / gallon? Step away from the Kool-Aid.

Some people just like to support their buddy who's selling it.
