GPR conversion?

GPR conversion?
my dad owns a 2003 ford excursion and is currently having problems with his glow plugs. long story short hes burning through GP's every couple of months, we think its the GPCM but its been replaced twice. is there any conversion kit to make the GP's run off a relay like the trucks?

yeah, its a mystery to us too. the wire harness is good, but its been ohms tested only to my knowledge. he has it chiped could that make the pcm try to controle emissions more making the gp's to stay on?

If you can hook up an idiot light to the GPs, you can tell if it is coming on all the time or what the deal is. IIRC, it should only come on for starting purposes and soon, not immediately after, turn off. This is a 7.3, right? If the thing is on for longer than say 1 min, you will have to go backwards and see what is going on. Maybe something is giving it the signal to turn on but until we test that theory, we don't know if your mechanic put poor quality plugs or the wires are bad, etc, etc.
