Glad this thread was going! I've been looking at a set of these on Ebay, and was wondering about them. With winter coming soon to Montana, those open wheel wells will get packed full of snow, slush, and crud......even though I had the insides of the rear wells lined, there's still a bunch of room for stuff to build up....these look like they might be a smart investment.
Mikesexpress: Great idea with the belting! Now that's using the old noodle!
Mikesxpress: It looks like you have either a FX4 or Lariat - how do the liners fit with the molding around the fender? Do the liners go in between the fender and molding or above the fender? Did you have to trim the liner to fit around the plastic push screws that hold the molding to the fender? Any pictures would help.
Also for all: I am concerned with how much protection there is from debris flying off of the wheel that would go towards the bumper and the support against the body near the bumper and the support that material gets trapped in towards the front of the bed - can you take pictures inside the wheel well that shows how much of the liner is in these areas (without the tire getting in the way)? The few pictures that there are just give an angle looking straight on the tire, or other pictures, the tire is in the way of seeing the liner in these areas! I hope this makes sense...it is tough to try to explain in writing!

They sit on the top or inside of the lip. There are two tabs that slide over the bolts that are used for the inner fender support brackets on either side of the fender opening. This pulls the liner down tight. The only thing I did was run a bead of silicone along the edge of the lip and the liner to seal it from water and liquified road salt from working its way between the lip and liner.
I still think the tires will throw dirt back to the bumper. The only way the liner could stop that would be for them to hang real low in the back and that would not look good.

I have an extended cab long bed XLT 4X4.
This is really pretty easy without any additional pic's. You do not have any liners now. You really need the liners to keep crap from getting junk up inside the frame and also to keep rocks from bangging inside the well. These are your only option for wheel well inserts. Get a set!
Asd far as the area behind the liner install, I addressed that in the post:
I also got some 18" wide black rubber faced coveyor belting and finished the enclosure job by attaching it to the back of the liner and running it back above the shackle to the inside of the bumper. Based off my other trucks and what I can see on this one, the road crud/mud slings back and builds inside the cavity along the bed and inside the bumper then rust starts.

How did you attach the conveyor belting to the bumper? Will the belting also keep the tire from throwing grime up inside the rear fender close to the bumper?
I used dbl back skyscraper window tape to attach it to the back of the liner. You could use pop-rivits and SS washers? Once routed over the top of the shackle and down inside the bumper, the two bolts that stick up hold it in place as it's trapped behind them.
Sorry Mike - when I looked at your picture in this post, it looked like there was a gray fender flare, but now looking at it again, I realize that it is only the glare that made it look that way!
I have a FX4 with the fender flares and was wondering if you needed to do anything different since there are "bolts" that go through the fender that hold the flare on - it seems like they would get in the way.
Mike - can you post a few pictures of your conveyer belt install?
UPS brought mine this morning. They fit like a glove, and were a breeze to install. I now see where some folks were talking about sealing the seam where the liners sit atop the fender well lip.....and I did it too.
Got mine off of Ebay for $89.95 w/free shipping - and they came in two days!
I can't say, like some have, that they were a breeze to install - and I am handy. I thought they were a PITA to install but I would do it again because they clean up the look and they will keep debris from that area.
I had to remove my WeatherTech mud flaps and could only use one of the bolts until I drill a hole in the plastic at some point.
For those of us that have the FX4 flares it still fits perfect. I installed mine a couple months ago and it is very easy. Follow the directions plus to make it even easier Take a floor jack and put under the hitch and raise the rear just prior to the wheels leaving the ground. This will give plenty of room to work the liner in. As for the wheel flare the liner with the help of a big screw driver will go between the flare and the fender.
