SGI 99 SD for $1500

SGI has a 1999 SD crew cab diesel with full length box. 188.000 kms on it for $1500 starting bid in Moose jaw. The damage is very minimal and easy to fix.
It needs a front door. Repair to rear door and cab. Has a headache rack that got shifted overon the box.
All this damage looks like he caught a pipe up the side of the truck causing mostly crease damage, with the exception of the front door.
It is on their bid site.
Danm I spent all my money paying credit cards and a new roto tiller.
It still a driver.

That's a great looking truck for the price...

Again... wish I liked on an acreage with a towing truck... I'd have myself my own bone-yard already...

Guess I can always dream of a field filled with dentsides though!

Me I can never seem to get ahead of the game of saving money to buy a newer truck or get the ones I have fixed.
Just too many projects here with vehicles and home renos and building.
If I already did not have a loan owing on. I be very tempted to get one to go for that truck. I like the idea crew cab and long box. I like them long like that. LOL.

Looks like a sweet one, if I had the time I`d certainly like to have a closer look at it.

Well it sold for 2777.00 for an easy fix by the look of it.

What do you figure it would cost if the buyer did the labour himself, parts wise?

Parts wise. for used parts. Between 300 to 1000. depending on where he buys the parts and paint.
I've seen several trucks on Kijiji where guys are parting them out and asking $100 to 200 for a door. The front door of this truck will fit even a regular cab door. The rest seems to need to be pulled back out and straighten. The plastic on top of the box rails can either be screwed back on. Replacements of these I do not know thecost at this time.
Black being the cheapest paint to buy. I would say at the most $1000.00 Then you got to add inspections and what faults they will find.
That is why most right offs are bought either for parts parts or for their own personal use. The costs of inspections now do not make fixing and reselling profitable for lots of able body bodymen to buy, fix, sell.
