New Batteries. Check , New Alt. Check ....stilll no go ? Check ....... New batteries , new altinator ...... everything hooked up and batteries read .1 ........ unhook and batteries back to 12.5 .....

So I started nosing around with the Starter Solenoid Relay ..... if I take off the the wire to the Alt. I get power , if I put it back on no power and it sparks every time I touch the wire to the solenoid relay . Tryed a new solenoid relay and it did the same exact thing. Could this be a short in the Starter Solenoid itself ? ....... cause a dead short .....

Can you be more specific on how that was happening?

WHERE was it shorting? A chafed wire? Where was that?
