Just a word of advice...if you are worried about cab noise it is best you run your pipes over the axle all the way out. I currently have turndowns right before the axle and you cannot carry on a conversation in my truck...even your own thoughts get drowned out. Personally, I love it...but I am sure it is not everyones cup of tea. I am running 2", my collectors are 2.5", but I did not want to run that much pipe all the way...some back pressure is good. 2" seems to be fairly universal for most stock to mild V-8's.
Muffler placement will also dictate much of the sound...
I like your work. I was wondering about running an exhaust system directly under my gas tank like this. I'd really like to go this route, but it makes me nervous. Any thoughts about the safety issue on such a route? I also like your sway bar. Is it u-bolted to the rear end? I gave up on a sway bar on my rear, but that might work for me too.
you really shouldn't have problem routing under the tank as long as you keep couple of inches clearance. If that's a concern, you can wrap header tape where it passes under the tank. The sway bar is clamped to the housing. It's from No Limit and I've run it on the truck for quite a while with no problems.
