Cracked intake?!?!?
My Brothers 2002 Super Duty 5.4 got a cracked intake manifold! What causes this? Its been a plow truck since new, Could this be a result of snow blowing under the hood and melting and freezing or am I way off base, Is it just a problem with the earlier 5.4, or should I be saving some bucks for this repair on my 04?? Its makin me worry?!?!?!

I had mine crack where the aluminum coolent cross over is at on the passanger side. My pickup is a 2001 w/ a 5.4L its a pretty common thing for this area. Dont know where yours broke though.
