351w swap question
I have a1978 f100 and I'm swapping I a 1989 351w were I converted the block to carb ..today I just picked up a serpintine setup from the junk yard out of a 1989 e150 van ...and I know I need a reverse water pump ..so I wanted to ask will a 93 Ford mustang 5.0 water pump work with my mechanical fuel pump? Thanks

I've seen a post on it a while back but can't seem to find it .... I also heard about a f350 water pump .. but the back water pump were the water outlets are look like tombstones and I heard it doesn't work to well with the mechanical fuel pump

You need a reverse rotation timing cover as well to go with the water pump. Supposedly the only vehicle that had reverse rotation AND mechanical fuel pump provision was the 85 Mustang.

clockwise vs. counterclockwise
It depends whether the v of the belt is against the pully or the back of the serpentine belt is against the pulley of the waterpump. The ports on the back of the water pump are angled differently for the 2 versions.
