just got my truck running a few days ago, found out it was a faulty ICP. Today i warmed my truck up like normal, ran fine for 5 min then it just died! thinking it was no big deal i started it back up and everything seemed fine. Driving down the road for about 3min it started to skip about every 5min or so. and from what i can see it does it when i hold my throttle steady. PLEASE HELP!
i just replace last week my idm, cps, tps and peddle assembly. thinking these were the problem for my last issue. should i put my old cps back in considering its fine?
Could be the IPR (injector pressure regulator). These sometimes get stuck or dirty and cause the exact same symptoms as a bad cps. Sometimes it is just the orings around the IPR. The IPR controls pressure to injectors via the signal from the ICP. Sometimes unplugging the ICP will temporarily "unstick" a stuck IPR.
yup. the codes that were read were just soft code. one for my tuner and one for my ebpcv delete (i have a banks power elbow). so all the codes are reading fine. i did replace the cps with my old one and it looks like its working. but if not i will try the ipr

What kind of scanner did you use ? With a CEL, you should get more than you got..
Inspect the wiring harness that runs over the drivers valve cover closley.
After two CPS's I concluded it must be the UVCH started the teardown unbolted the loom fliped it up discovered a very small burn mark in the valve cover. It had two wireds rubbed through where the big plastic covering has slid down slightly.
Hope this helps.......
