Another one of these questions. I am going to get a Baumann controller for my idi diesel and was wondering if any of you guys have adapted the Baumann carburetor throttle setup over to the diesel instead of using the FIPL sensor. I'm finding it difficult to get a hold of the original equipment on the 7.3 where I live, whether it be new or used. I don't know if everyone here is on crack or if the sensor is just no longer made.
I'm not sure how hard it is to adapt it over but I hear it can be done. I haven't seen the carb throttle setup that Baumann has so it's hard for me to picture adapting it. Right now that is one of my only two options and I'm tired of calling auto parts stores so hopefully someone has some ideas.
Thanks. I got the part # to them and they found it. For some reason the TPS would only come up if they looked under c6. Hopefully the computer in my truck has an easier time finding the sensor than theirs did.
