Spout Connector?

Ok guys...I went to a guy yesterday, and he SUPPOSEDLY retimed my I-6 to 12* BTDC.....BUT I can't feel one ounce of difference...

Now...My understandings were, that the SPOUT connector was on the fenderwell, a gray plug with 4-5 pins...?

The guy unplugged a lil gray "Chip" from the harness, it was right behind the relay/fuseblock on the inner fender, and the truck idled a tad different...But as I said, I thought the SPOUT sonnector was a larger piece and on the fenderwell...

If he got into the wrong thing...Well, I've lost $10 to an idiot...

P.S-He also asked me if the #1 cylinder was in the front.....UGH....I shoulda seen the signs....

2 blade type pins in the connector. Mine was where you described on the drivers side fender wall near the cab. mine had that factory black cloth tape around it, so it took me a minute to find.

there's a pick in here.

Well, that was it....Just don't understand why it doesn't have ANY more oomph....My understandings were that it'd be a lil bit spunkier...Guess not...

Its not going to make a huge difference, except maybe run a little better.

I believe he saying that the mechanic did pull the spout to advance the timing, but he thought it would have a little more PEP.
