i dont get y u would even want to swapers on the street it just a waste on money get a set of hummer tires for the street and the swaper for off road only i think u bee better off with a set of bfgs mt if u want to just run one set as i read this post i took in that your rig is a dd and week end wheeler
whats your problem man, im just giving you a tire option. no reason for personal attacks.
Just getting sick of hearing your mall crawler and piece of junk thornbirds talk...not meaning to attack at all...just want real opinions on what im looking at...i said in the first post what i had narrowed it down too and i know it said nothing about thornbirds.
personally i'd pass on iroks for mainly mud. they are soft and wear quicker than tsl's and aren't as good in the sticky stuff.
for mud and interco it goes bogger, tsl, and ltb for mud rigs imho. forget the iroks. you ever notice they are always bald on damn near every rig you see running them????
EDIT: or buy some effing thornbirds sally :flipoff2:

i dd it to work...which is about 2 blocks from my house then home...i have a jeep i drive all the time, but my girlfriend drives it to work so i take my pickup to my work...it probably gets no more than 5 miles on it a week, so i really wouldn't call it a dd.lol

before calling personal attack, you should read what you said that prompted that answer.
the question was plain and simple. what tire for a daily driver/occasional mudder. there was no reason for your comment other than to stir the pot and draw the response it did.
if any comments are to be edited or removed, they will be yours.
TSL's work good in mud had them on my 77 in 38's and a slightly warmed up 460 with 4.11's and it turned them damn good idk how they wear on the hwy as it never sees the hwy other than 10 or so times that i drove half a mile down the road to yank out some kid that tried to cross the canal..... oh and made 50 bucks ,,, but its trailer ed in to races and trailer ed home,
now i sold 2 my TSL's and bought 2 38.5x15x15 Boggers for the rear, i havent hadem on my truck yet seeing that i am lazy and havent put the engine together lol but i will tell ya Boggers are harder to turn takes mo powah to do it
PS dan The wider the tire the harder it is to spin

I'd love to trailer mine, but dont quite think my jeep would pull it.lol Most i'd ever drive it down the highway would be maybe 30 miles and thats like two to three times a year.
Well sounds to me like tsl's are the way to go....thanks everyone.
What have you done to the 400 and what gears do you have?
Id be willing to bet 90% of all truck running boggers 33s or larger do not have the power to turn them as hard as they need to be turned to stay on top. In most cases a regular swamper will out perform a bogger in the same situaton.
How about some SSRs? Otherwise Id consider the bias swampers considering the rest of your combo will handle a 38" tire. Ill tell you right now the 44 will not and unlikely the 60 will either.

Really couldn't tell you what gears it has, never got the time to check...but it has great power through every gear...start out in second gear no problem, so im guessing it maybe has been geared for the tires...? And the 400 is stock(other than exhaust)...looking to get a 4 barrel intake and carb soon.
larry, what i was getting at is the wide boggers will float a bit=easier for most trucks with stockish power. the skinnies go right down into chit. with stockish power and a lack of wheel speed to make them do their thing you're screwed. i know what i'm trying to say, i just don't know if it's coming out right....

Hey now im running the hell out some 38's on my half ton **** :flipoff: but i suppose cromo shafts helped there...

Gotcha now... i took it as 'wide tires are easier to turn in the thick ****' but i see what your sayin now
