Driveshaft problems

Driveshaft problems
Need to know if the slip joint on a 2004 f-350 driveshaft goes to the front or rear. I believe it goes to the front and not the rear. Am I right or wrong?

Thank you. The reason I asked is I took my truck in to get a new axel put in and the mechanic put the driveshaft in backwards. As I was towing my travel trailer up a steep hill the u-joint at the slip joint( which was at the rear diff) failed and the dealership wants to charge me around a grand to repair their mistake. It will take about a week to 2weeks if they have to order a new driveshaft. I am a tad upset about it. Thanks again I just had to make sure I knew what I was talking about.
Ps. Anyone else have a u-joint fail catastrphically under load?
