I have the opportunity to buy a brand new set...he went from the dealership to the wheel store to get bigger rims. Is $800 fair for the set?? What are they worth?

Its not bad - I think they run around $230 a wheel brand new. I will make a call tomorrow and see what they are.
For $800 though, you can get a VERY nice set of aftermarket wheels. You might want to look at TireRack.com and see what they have. Reason I say look there, you can pull up a pic of your vehicle and see what the wheels look like on there.
If it were me, I might offer him $500 and see what happens...

Very cool website but there is only one set rims for the explorer...and they don't even have a four door. Do they usually have rims brigger than 15"? I will look around though because after I posted the question I looked at a couple of places and I can get a bigger and better set for cheaper. Thanks for the advice!
