Accelerator Cable
Well I found the problem! The Accelerator Cable and the kick down cable are shot. I can't find them anywhere. Does anyone know where I might find these cables? It's a 89 clubwagon xlt with aod and the 4.9 in it.

I'll assume you've also tried the stealerships? If so maybe contact Ed The Parts Guy here which is really Horizon Ford/Lincoln-Mercury of Washington state---they might be very helpful.
Aside from that any of the speed shops like Jeg's or Summit Racing are indeed good outlets along with speciality transmission shops like B&M or similar aftermarket modifiders or manufacturers.
