2000 4X4 vacuum leak
I have a 2000 F250 4X4. I recently tried using 4 wheel drive and it didn't work, lights came on inside, air started blowing out of defrost. After reading some helpful posts on this site I unfroze my hubs and replaced the short pieces of vacuum hose inside the tire well. How long should it take the vacuum pump to shut off once the key is turned on? When I turn on the key and put it in 4 wheel drive the air will blow out of the defrost most of the time. I have checked the lines and can't find apparent leak. The vacuum pump will shut off if i disconnect the hose from it and plug the hole. Any help is greatly appreciated.
