Lately, the EBPV brake function just does'nt work as hard as it used to when I turn it on.
Before, I could hear the unit doing its thing and now you really have to concentrate to hear the difference when I turn it on.
And of course, there is only very little braking action when its on.
Can the valve itself get gummed up and not close properly??
Can it be that the EPS tube is clogged?? If so, does this prevent the gate from closing completely??
Using a lot more foot braking action than has been usual these past 10 yrs. Up here in northern NV currently and with 15k behind you, an exhaust brake is really needed.

Reason: correct verbage
How are you making the EBPV function? If you have a switch to function it, have someone function it while you look to see if the valve is closing right.
Do you have an auto or manual trans?
Have you checked it visually to see if it's operating? The lever points to the driver's side when off (open) and towards the passenger side when on (closed).
Does the lever move when you throw the switch?
The tube and sensor have no effect on the manual over ride switch used to control the EBPV.
Its been cold & rainy here so have'nt been able to get out and check on the valves operation. But will do it first opportunity. Hopefully, it just needs freeing up or something.
WiFi here is really spotty so excuse the slow response.
