I have a 1993, Bronco, w/351. It has a fresh tune-up, fuel pressure is good (checked at rail - 40 psi), plenty of air (K&N Filtercharger), and spark (new rotor, plugs, wires, etc). It will not start. It turns over fine, but won't crank. It's getting fuel because I have white smoke coming from the exhaust. Recent fixes were I replaced the shifter sleeve in the column, rebuilt most of the steering assembly, replaced the alternator and all pulleys, starter and O2 sensor. It's been getting harder to crank, and most recently I had to hold the pedal to the floor to get it to start. It's got 107k on it and I haven't had any major problems until now. Could it be the PCM, ICM, or one of the many sensors??? I am in the military in Germany and it's my wife's primary means to get food while I am deployed. The local German mechanics just sit there and scratch their respective butts because they don't have a clue. I will email her with your suggestions. I have a buddy in the motor pool that will install anything needed. Thanks for any help.
They say the exhaust is clear. I thought maybe a plugged cat, but that wasn't it. Everything appears fine, it just won't start. Getting pretty frustrating to say the least. I can't pull the codes yet, since no one has anything big enough to pull it on post. They may get it their this weekend. Then the AAFES (Armed Forces Exchange Service) mechanics will try to gouge my wife since I am not there. Thanks for any help anyone can send my way.
I would have to "guess" your injectors. You would still get your reading due to the return line. Most if not all Injectors need around 13 volts just to perform correctly or It could be bad gas(detergents, h2o contamination).ProMilitary!!!!!!
