Another wheel question

Hi guys!
As you know my truck is the "F1nkenstein" and I have the volare ifs with a chebbie rear end out of an 80's car.
The questions are:
1-Can I find steel rims for the volare with the right bolt pattern??
(I need 15"rims.)
2-Is is safe to redrill the steelies to match the rear(make my universal rims)
3-If I buy universal steelies will it be the right bolt pattern for both?????
thanks guys.

should be possible.. I got universal steelies on the 56 when I bought it.

5x4.5 on the front, and 5x5.5 on the rear. the fronts are the universals.

I don't know who made them tho.

I am not 100% cetain but I believe the mopar bolt pattern is the same as a ford. You should be able to find some universal rims with both bolt patterns...

I would not recommend drilling holes to make your own universal rims. You could seriously compromise the strength of the wheels, plus, not having a proper seat for the new holes wouldn't allow them to mount correctly, creating a second safety hazard.

There are aftermarket "snow rims" sold by places like Les
Schwab that would have both bolt patterns like you're looking for. If you're patient and keep an eye on craigslist, a set may come up.

If you buy Steelies for a 5x4.75 or 5x4.5 bolt pattern, it will have both patterns...

You may want to measure your bolt patterns to be sure....some bigger GM cars had 5 on 5 wheels....

Also your rear can be 5x115mm I would stop by your local tire store and ask to check your lug nut pattern... Check with them about if that is offered in dual bolt pattern... They can check with their surpliers. Find out a price you may be surprised... Either buy from them or start looking on line for some that you want... Also sometime if the dual bolt patterns are a lot more expensive, you can buy one as your spare and the other 4 single bolt pattern. just 2 cents worth!

Here's a good link that describes how to measure bolt patterns....there is also some wheel information:

https://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html

Also...look at the website for US Wheel. They make a lot of steel wheels & are priced pretty well. I went with their wheels because they had enough clearance for the disk brakes. I ended up ordering through Summit Racing.
