My satellite radio has brief breaks in reception fairly often. Happens probably every 5 mins or so. They last a second or so just long and frequent enough to be annoying. Not sure if this is a new issue, maybe since the sirius/xm channel programming merge, or if I've been blinded by how good the rest of the truck is and haven't really noticed till now or what. True love is blind you know. Has anyone else experienced this and if so found a fix for it? Looking for any tips to help resolve this issue.

It just started happening recently. I thought it was because of the heavy spring foliage but I think now they have technical issues. My travel link also has messages saying they can't pull the report too.
It appears to be wide-spread issue across a number of receiver platforms. I had noticed the dropouts while listening on my way to and from work. Then this weekend I noticed the same dropouts listening via. Dish Network. Did a quick google search and there appears to be others having the same issue. Nothing posted on Sirius's site though.
I've noticed it on the CNN channel for a while, but no issues with other channels.
You are lucky to lose CNN. I have Sirius in my Jetta and my truck and no problems what so ever. Could be sun spots, sat radio is useless in any big city.....

This past Saturday, I was having all kinds of reception issues. I was getting crackling and popping noises to the point I couldn't understand what was even being said. I thought maybe I had a speaker wire loose or something wrong with the antenna. Then I changed stations and everything sounded great. It was just certain stations that were not coming through. Glad to hear others are having the same issues and it's not my truck.
It was likely rain fade from where the signal originates. Some content is broadcast from the east coast and some from the west coast. Some content is transfered from one location to the transmiter location to be sent to the satelites. lots of time for a problem to occur.

I have noticed this as well, just not as often as you are seeing it. Try logging into your account on the website and re-sending the signal. I had to do this quite often on my old Pioneer radio. Just make sure to follow the directions, otherwise it's a waste of time.
I have been noticing it also with an uninterupted view of the satelites. It sounds like the older CD players "skipping" from a bump or something. The sound quality overall is fine, just a little hiccough every 5-10 minutes or so.
I have had no problems with it in my truck. But my sky dock on XM has been spotty. I do notice more that heavy trees and bridges cause more problems now then they did when it was 2 different company's and before the channel merge.
