Yeah those round vents look funny the dashes just look car-e (I made that there word up).I member the light clickers on the floor too...back in the 80's my dad had a 50's something Chevy Apache stepside just an ol bucket of truck but man it was cool riding in that thing .
LOL, wpnaes. I guess I'm old school, too. I like the '99 to '07 look. '08 front end took a while, but it did grow on me.
I am still hooked on classic rock music like Floyd, Rush, Zeppelin, Doors, Who, etc., etc. Guess those were the tunes I grew up listening to when life was much more carefree. Listening to them momentarily brings me back to that time and place....me, old fart.
I'm to young to seen any modern car with the highbeam switch so once i dug the 83 out i was like how do you switch on the highbeams. Oh duh my dad said they were on the floor, and i like it now.
Had many cars with the dimmer on the floor. I like it on the column better, all-thou I had a couple of GM cars before a Ford and could not figure out why the brights would not stay on. Pull the turn signal to the rear and let go and the lights would go dim. I pushed the level forward, quite by accident, and walla the brights stayed on. I am having to get used to the turn signal handle returning when I signal for a turn now.

Are you still wandering to the front of the truck to turn the crank...Or are you used to that key thingy yet??? lol
Oooh 70's flashback, i remember turning a crank on my uncle's old tractor - 'careful, you'll break an arm if she kicks back' is tatooed in my memory. On the old T it was somethin like this: advance, throttle, choke, key on, attach the crank to 8 o'clock, without the thumb, cup the crank in your and and turn clockwise, then watch out. Stumble back to the seat, with banged up thumb and adjust advance/throttle before she dies.
Hmm, something about a parking brake too...
yea I like the pre 08' interiors too! the new interiors look much more like the inside of a fancy car...not my cup of tea! like my truck to look like a truck inside and out.
but i'm sure they sold alot more of these trucks to the soccer moms since they changed the interior in 08'!
I love the floor high beam switch!!! reminds me of my 65' mustang, Loved that car!! I'm going to be adding that to the list of upgrades for my truck!!
I like the current interior. In the next breath I think they hit the nail on the head with the exterior with the 05-07 trucks. They just seem to flow so much nicer and the front end is killer. The outside really took a dive with the 08-10 trucks. They look the worst of all the Superduties. The 11 is a marked improvement but still does not touch the 05-07 design.

Couldnt have said it better myself. I think what ruined it for the 08-10's is having the headlights under the parking lights. Just looks funny
My first SuperDuty was an 06 and I absolutely loved that truck. Unfortunately, so did the illegals. I now have a 2011 and while it is really nice, it just doesn't seem as roomy as my 06 did, with the center console on this one. Even the rear seat seems a little smaller. And the leather (no KR on either) seemed nicer on my 06 as well. I toyed with the idea of trying to buy another 06, but just didn't want to deal with the whole sifting process and bought new instead. Hope I don't regret that decision.
