Ain't she sweeeeet? Picked her up late Friday night, must have caught them tired and ready to go home 'cause I gave them a ridiculously low bottom line, and when I said I'd take delivery that night if they met it, they did!
Love the color (although it's technically my second choice), and especially the black leather interior. Already installed her EZ Down tailgate thingy (check that thread for pics too), and now I'm shopping for custom grills. I loved my old truck's billet-styled grill (part of the '06 chrome package) and hope to find one similar for this year model. Other than that, she's gonna stay pretty much stock. Having so much fun learning the nav system and that that entails, and it's my first Sirius experience too. Too cool.
Speaking of the nav system, any recommendations for the best way to clean the screen? I picked up some monitor wipes, but at ten bucks for thirteen of 'em, I'd like something a little more economical. I know already I'm going to be a clean freak where that is concerned!
As for the screen... A good microfiber cloth and when needed a little spray of distilled water (on the cloth) for any stubborn stuff. Pick up a little empty spray bottle you can keep in the truck, a jug of distilled and you'll be set for a long while. No need for any special screen cleaners...
Good lucking truck. I've been trying to decided on grilles as well -basically between the t rex and carraige works. Then the other day I saw a truck with the T Rex billet with the Ford emblem and it looked great! Now my decision is made.
Trucks looks great congrats! I use a microfiber cloth and some large screen TV cleaner I bought at walmart, works great and just leave it in the console.
The only thing I miss from sirius is the Travel Link, wished I could get just that feature.
One of the few things the thieves left in the truck was a binder containing pertinent info on my horses - copies of registration papers, coggins tests, trail maps, etc. Stuff I need when I haul them. I always kept it in the back pocket of the driver's seat, but since the theft it's just been sitting homeless on my desk. So today, when I put it behind the seat of this one, I just couldn't keep the *****-eating grin off my face. Made her officially mine!
Nice rig, congrats. Keep her away from any of your friends 16yo drivers!!!!
LOL! I am sooo dreading that first scratch or ding! My boyfriend refuses to drive her until then, says he doesn't want it to happen on his watch. Silly man, I'd only kill him a little bit!
