ok so i started out with a leak i think was coming from my ebpv pedestal, so while ordering a replacement from Beans i saw they have modded IDM's on sale so i sprung for it. i received it wednesday and didnt have time to put it in til thursday and finally found that the truck wont crank now
when i turn the key i am getting a buzzing/vibrating from the IDM relay in the power dist box under the hood. i am not sure if maybe i did something or left something unplugged while replacing the IDM or if the IDM itself is bad.

Won't crank? I would start with the batteries What Keith Stone said
Perhaps your batteries are to weak to keep the relay in?
batteries are perfectly fine. to begin with, it cranked over normally (quite fast), after trying a few things and cranking on it testing theories i put a charger on each battery and trickle charged them until full. i did not notice much if any difference in the cranking speed after the charge. she just spins over. not smoke, tach moves, hpop is full (i just changed the oil so its clean). i did notice if i let the relay finish buzzing (takes a minute or two) she does seem to crank right up.
i sent my stock IDM to beans to have it modified instead of paying the core charge since i couldnt drive the truck anyways.
i will try swapping around the relays. dont know why i hadnt thought of that.
ok here is some more info to the story. just went out and swapped around the relay's and they all buzz/vibrate so i believe they are all good. i started fiddlin around with wires and such and found that one of the main posts on the GPR is loose. as soon as i started to move the wires the buzzin immediately stopped. jumped down and the truck cranked with no problem! so i did this five more times consecutively with 100% success. so i have determined that the GPR needs to be replaced. i had just not heard of the GPR being directly connected to the IDM. what happens when in systems where people put in a manual switch and only use the GPR when its cold?
ok update... so the GPR was just a coincidence. i unplugged the gpr and the relay in the power dist box still buzzes. i did notice however that when i pulled the PCM relay but left the IDM relay it would quit buzzing and then i could crank the truck no problem. i also notice when i pull the IDM relay i hear a click (like another relay somewhere else) and then i can put the IDM relay back and it does not buzz.
once i get the buzzing to stop she cranks and runs fine. i drove her around today with not the first problem.
