Tool brand question

I can get either a snapon used engine timer or a new digital timing light both have rpm and advance for 75$

any thoughts one way or another?

I just got the ferrit but it is used in conjunction with a standard timing light for gasers...

i can either get Amazon.com: Equus 3568 Innova Digital Timing Light With Inductive Pick-Up: Automotive

or a used snapon from a former snapon dealer.

whats the model off the snapon meter and what comes with it? do you have a way to test it before buying? does the seller accept returns for at least 7 days (if not,it's likely a paper weight) ?
is the ferret adapter; # V765-01 ?

the ferret is... the guy lives a fiew miles away he told me to check back in tomorow to see if he could find the obd2 connector for the obd reader I got from him. if it didnt work he would exchange it... same goes for the timing light.
