Ok so my wife has been having issues with my A/C fan. She said it will work fine on the High setting, and will work in all the other settings if she is moving, but when she comes to a stop while using any other setting but High the airflow is almost non existent until she starts moving again. Im thinking it could possibly be the resistor pack for the A/C system, but I thought if that went out, it wouldnt work at all in any setting but High, so Im a bit confused.
She might mistake the flow generated by truck movements with blower at lower speeds. That would indicate the blower operates only on HI, what would confirm your guess about bad resistors.

AC works great one extended idle (10 hr break) and at lower RPMs. but quits on heavy acceleration and speed over 60, blows but not cold. Only comes back on after turning AC off for a few min. Was told it was compressor, been doing this since last NOV wouldn't it have gone out by now? Freon? Don't think so, blows freezing when it's working. I'm thinking some kind of relay, expansion valve or something. This truck DOES NOT have the climate control (i.e specific temp setting). Any ideas?
