The doors on my 54 F-100 truck were really shot when I bought it. I got a hold of two other ones and took all four of them to my body man, who turned them into two good ones. Now I have two newly-painted whole doors. I bought the ”I need it all weatherseal & anti-rattle kit” from Mid-Fifty and now the problems arrive. It seems there was so much rust along my windows that my bodyman had to weld in some nnew metall, thereby closing one of the holes for the lower felt wipes (the ones in the rear where it curves.)and removing of the metal around another one completely. Do I have to use all the holes? Can they be glued in place instead of drilling a new hole in the rear thereby ruining the paint job? Any ideas? I have read a number of threads really cursing this installment, so I know theres a lot of experience out there!
Everytime I start feeling sorry for myself, you come along and make me feel lucky. I don't know how you could possibly drill the holes now. You are going to have to use an outstanding adhesive. Start figuring out some sort of fixture you can use to hold it in place while it dries. Perhaps a strip of 16 guage and 8 pairs of tiny visegripes. The fuzzies are under a lot of stress until they wear in.
Hopefully someone can suggest an epoxy that is heavy bodied and available on your side of the pond.
I went to a local (you know the "other like a rock) vintage parts store, and they had some really small, self tapping screws, for attaching the window felt on mid 50's (the c word).
I used them per the counter guys instructions, and every thing looks good...
If you need to go the adhesive route take a look at McMaster-Carr www.mcmaster.com (yeah, I know, you are all sick of hearing me mention them). The reason I suggest them is that they have a very thorough explanation of what each type of adhesive is for. That will be very important as 'fenders noted. The other reason is that they will ship anywhere in the world - although you already know it will cost extra. Still, it's probably cheaper than most of your other options. Good luck!

I have another new set of fuzzies waiting to be ruined. I'm really good at that. What is the Chebby application. (Or screw head type if I could trouble you) The rearmost clip is near impossible and that sounds like a solution if the clip tears out.
The holes are gone on Eriks, You would need a micro-around-the corner-drill. Who sells those? I don't know what you could use to drill them back in.
I'm having trouble visualizing the space you're talking about as I never looked at my doors except to take them off and store them. Is it possible to drive a self-starting screw through the weather strip and into the metal? With hardened screws and a bit of force it's not too hard and you don't need to drill a hole. Thing is, if you can't drill a hole, I don't know if you could drive the screw with enough force either?
At any rate, if you think this will work you can readily get #2 x 1/4" long Phillips pan head self-starting screws. Those may be too small but they make them in all the bigger sizes as well.
At the bottom of the window glass there is a seal (felt wipe) that runs horizontally on both sides of the glass and keeps water from running past the glass and inside your door. There are about a half dozen factor holes (slots actually) that the clips mount in. The holes are inside the gap where the glass comes out of door about 1/4 inch I suppose.
I found them in the wescott catalog... part # B-703536 comes in a package of 25 cost 3.00, they are "small headed screws, black, used to mount fuzzy strips to window opennings when orginal hardware is not used"
If you need the phone number, PM me....
I used a smal bit in the dremenel, and a #1 phillips screw driver.
