So I installed new fuel, egt, and boost gauges. I also picked up the upgraded fuel spring kit from partsguyed. My fuel is reading 60-62 idleing before spring replacement. I wanted to see what the pressure was before the spring update. Apparently, I already have the blue spring? Should I take it apart or just leave it?
I haven't had a chance to load yet, WOT it drops to about 55.
I'd say leave it. I run almost identical numbers with a custom fuel system, and haven't lost an injector since it was installed(3 years). Just my $.02.
I thought the blue spring was meant to bring it up to a specific psi range, not to augment to what you already have.....is this correct or am I way off?
That's about what I run with the blue spring. It's certainly possible that you already have it in there unless you know the history of the truck.
I bought this truck special order. I never put the spring in. I have had things fixed at the dealer and a egr cooler from strictly diesel, I don't recall any spring update.
