I've been searching and reading through all of the post in reguards to lifting the front of a e150 i-beam. I understand the pros and cons, but still need to get this thing in the air a little. The rake is driving me crazy.
I'm not looking to jack it up 5+ inches, would settle for a mild 2-3" if possible. Would 250/350 spring do anything in raising the height? Does anyone make a coil spring spacer for the 2001 e150? I cant find any....
I know about the airbags but looking to do something along the lines of suspension to get the height and then maybe adding bags to control it later.
Thanks for the great site. The info here helped my p0401 code.....e

I put those rubber spring boosters in mine, two on each side. Got about 1-1/2". But they only lasted about three days before they split in half and fell out. That's why I was looking for other alternatives on one of my other post. Sorry about the spec;s I gave you on the Coil spring install heights. This is what Napa gave me as there "Loaded' height. After I read your post about your measurements I went out and measured mine, I had a little more then 12". I would like about 14", that would make the van just about level. Another question has come up in my search for knowledge. This is a travel Van, so do I look at constant rate springs or variable rate springs. Because these are in the front the load in the van isn't going to change that much and the constant rate springs, I would think would be better in the turns and cut down on the swaying a little. Don't know for sure! what do you guy's think?
I use my van for a plumbing buissness and it's so overloaded its rediculous. I put the air springs on all four corners pumped them up . They havn't lost any air or broke. I put them on about five months ago.
Well I put firestone bags in the front coils, and it allowed me to get the front end level again. Im running around 40 psi to do this. It does help with the sway and stiffened the front end slightly. It sure did make the rear spring/shock issues more noticeable. I will address that as soon as figure out the front.
I went look at a '11 e150 and notice that the front ends are level with the back from the factory. I think I'm going to bite the bullet and try new springs. We'll see what happens..
