I think it is a start. You need to bring down the front first so the factory line will line up. The you will have to line up as much factory side of the hood as much as you can then fill in the rest.

i would jump on this, can't imagine trying to make my own hood and have it turn out like anything...just my opinion. not saying it can't be done but holy moly ! shipping that greyhound shouldn't be too bad really..

J im the hood if from a 54 chevy so the bottom lip is all fudged up.

What do I think?
I think for someone that claims he doesn't know what he is doing it looks great. Great imagination coming up with a good use of 
chev parts and using what you have on hand. Personally though I would go for the 48 - 50 hood and be happy to get it even if it needs a lot of work.Have fun.
