Can anyone tell me what this VIN # all means?? I found a 79 Ford for sale and was trying to figure out if it had a Dana 60 front. This is all of the information the guy said was on the tag:
F26slcg4523 and in the trans/axle code area, he said it says F0225/TO875. Anyone tell me what this means?? If I had the time, I'd go look at it in person.

I wouldn't trust any decoding to find this out. Check the diff cover bolt heads. 1/2"=D44 and 9/16"=D60. Have him see which wrench fits and provide a photo of said axle.
An axle code is 1-2 digits by the way. It's located on the warranty tag on the door of the truck.
