ok guys I'm back. I have an 83 F250 w/ the 351W C6 4x4 all that fun stuff. heres my problem this time... The truck wont charge. it runs completely off the battery. I've had the alternator checked. It's fine (had 2 separate places check it) the voltage regulator and battery are both brand new. I did check the fuses none were blown. the fusable links all seemed to be fine also. I did however find a section of wire that was ate up with corrosion, and replaced that (making sure that the wires were matched up correctly too)
Go to the regulator. On the "s" terminal should be a green/red wire. With the key off, you should have zero volts. With the key on, engine running, you should have 12 volts on this terminal.
With the key off, engine off, you should have 12v on the yellow "A" wire on the regulator also.
i tried what the picture said too and off it had 12.41 volts the non load had 12.39 volts and the loaded test had 11.81 volts... but i cant find anywhere where it says anything if it drops like that so again im lost.
