Evapo-Rust
Restoring a 1977 F-100. Don't have a sandblaster and i'm too cheap to pay to have stuff sandblasted. Needed something to help remove pitted rust that I couldn't sand/grind out. Bought Evapo-Rust because it was locally available.
This stuff worked. I was pretty amazed. It is slow (like 24 hours), but I dropped the whole carb (all the springs and cams were badly rusted). It came out almost perfectly clean. Painting it on with a brush on bigger stuff, go back every hour and keep it wet. Seems to be working well enough.
Nothing's perfect, but I found a product that pleasantly surprised me, so I figured I'd pass it along.
