Dont put any in until you verify your ect vs eot.if its good then put red elc back in.also,in your last post you were about 15* apart.try back flushing your oil cooler.I was 27* apart, after the back flush I'm at 18-21* apart.not ideal, but it obviously helped.figured Id give it one more try today and got it down to 18* at 60mph,but at 70 it climbs to 18-21*.ill give the vc9 a try and backflush one more time and see what happens.good luck to ya,hope you can get those temps down.

Just go to Napa and get this
Valvoline.com > Products > Antifreeze Radiator Products > Antifreeze > Zerex® Extended Life Antifreeze / Coolant
Or go to International, Cat, Cummins
You can get Delo-Fleetrite-Fleetguard and others the Restore is a Cummins product or get it here

Pull off the cover to the egr valve.its by the turbo outlet pipe.its got two torx screws holding it down.I made up a deal with a half inch ball valve,a standard garden hose adapter on one end,a three foot piece of garden hose with a barbed fitting inside another adapter.the fitting is sticking out of the end of it and I found a piece of rubber, actually it was an aftercooler bushing with a.hole in it,and put it on the barbed fitting, held it tight in the exposed hole of the oil cooler and pulsed water through it with the ball valve.ill try to post a pic of it.when you put the cover back on go get two allen head screws and a long allen wrench, put a fourty five bend in the long end, much easier to deal with then those damn torx bolts.

EGR valve? Won't that get water in the intake and turbo? Or did you mean the remove the thermostat?

Then this:

Also, that cap has an o-ring in there. I believe the part number for that is:

Outer O-ring for outlet port - 3C3Z-9N693-EA (International: 1846977C1)

Thank jfirstford for the above pictures, he's been back flushing his cooler.

Yes it is but it must be concentrate not the 50/50 mix stuff some guys have said that Cat only has the 50/50 stuff that will NOT work. Any ELC coolant that is CAT EC-1 Rated coolant will work.
