truck's jealous

Well I need help again. Here goes....I have a 2003 s'crew 5.4 w/114k miles, 4x4, auto completely stock except 285's....I've owned the truck for about 1.5 yrs with no problems. I recently purchased a small motorcycle to offset the cost of gas in the truck, and twice it's left me stranded. The truck cranks like a champ, spins a little faster than usual, so I know it's not hitting. I talked to the previous/original owner and he put a fuel pump in a year or two before I got it. The truck can sit for a couple of days and start up like nothing happened, and seems to run fine. And to add to the mystery, maybe the problem, shortly before the problems began i had the plugs changed and a fuel system cleaner ran through. Could this have broken some junk loose on the return and caused damage? someone in another thread mentioned a fuel pump module, possibly on the rear axle, could this be it and how do I test it?
Sorry for being long winded for a little problem, any help would be appreciated.

im a little lost. --"The truck can set a couple days and starts up fine" ---but i think you are saying sometimes it does not start ? or does it die and then will not restart ?... If the fuel pump or pressure regulator was bad, you will not have pressure in the fuel line. There is a schrader valve (like a tire valve) , on one of the fuel lines in the VEE of the motor. When it will not start, push the little pin in the center of the schrader valve and see if if puffs out gas. Should be 20 psi or more of pressure in the line when setting overnight - motor off.

sorry I wasn't very clear, the truck hasn't died on me yet. I'll park the truck then go back say after leaving work 10hrs or overnight, and try to start it and it just cranks. When I test the schrader valve, it should be holding pressure before i try to start the truck right? If not, could it be the regulator?
