I was wondering where I can go to obtain a build sheet for my 1968 ranger. I know some guys have said they have gotten one for free.......and free is always good! Also thinking about getting a Marti report, but if I can get the same information through Ford for any less thats the way I want to go. I am trying to obtain any or all the documentation I can about my truck, mainly just to have it for when I start showing it again. Doesnt hurt to ask around before I go jumping into something!

I'm still waiting on my build sheet, however for me getting the Marti
report was well worth it as I also ordered a replacement sticker for
the inside door jam
They actually called me this week and told me it would be 4-6 weeks and they would send it to my email address. Not bad!!! Thanks!
You'll be lucky if you get it within 4-6 weeks, as it all depends on how busy Marti is.
In the late 1980's, FoMoCo was planning to THROW AWAY all the specs/data for 1967/79 FoMoCo vehicles.
Kevin Marti, a "Mustang nut" in Phoenix AZ found out about the plan and got ALL of it!
While you can get a basic build sheet from FoMoCo for your 1967/79 vehicle (it's free), since FoMoCo has NONE of this info any longer, they have to get the info from Marti!
Marti (martiauto.com) can provide you with a copy of your vehicles specific window sticker, Warranty Plate, Certification Label, and a gazillion other things like how many vehicles were painted a specific color, how many had 390 engines and etc, but there is a fee for Marti's services, which escalates depending on how much info you want.
What all info can you get from fomoco? Just the build sheet or is there more info they can give? I think ill be getting the marti report for my 71 crew as I'd like as much info as possible but I don't think they say the specifics for crews as how many were built ect

1967/79: Marti has everything, FoMoCo has nothing. All you can get from FoMoCo is a copy of your vehicles original build sheet (it's free)...the info comes from Marti, that's why it takes 4-6-8-12 weeks to receive it.
If you want to know how many crew cabs were assembled, how many came with what specific engine/trans, how many were painted red, blue or whatever...Marti has these specs.
When you request info like this, it's known in the hobby as a Marti Report.
I just recently called Ford for a build sheet on my 78. They were very nice and helpful. I received my phone call today my information would be 4 to 6 weeks and getting to me.
I understand Marti has all the info and is much quicker, they also provide info Ford does not. But the build sheet from Ford is free.
