alternator whine

just replaced my heater core, water pump and thermostat. but now my alternator is whining when the truck heats up. it doesn't sound like the belt and the alt is fairly new. any ideas?

Are the pulleys lined up? Possible the new water pump has an incorrectly installed pulley.

Or just coincidence... how many volts is the alternator putting out when it whines?
