Today Ford sent me a letter saying records show my truck has not had the 07S57 - Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor Inspection / Replacement performed yet ! If I have not had problems yet should I be concerned about this and which color sensors are good and which colors sensor are bad. Also do they let you keep the old parts as spares. Thanks Oslo
Just got off the phone with dealer said next week anytime take about 45 min. the letter says inspection/replace so who knows.
45 mins??!!?!? do what i did, raise a big stink about them taking your truck in the garage for so long and theyll do it in the service lane in less then 10 mins!
Yup got that letter too, I had a problem with my truck awhile back and replaced it with an auto zone one (before I knew to go to ford for it) and my dealer wanted me to drop it off for a whole day. It took me about 15 minutes so I think its a rip off to leave it there all day
Just got back from the dealer 2 Recalls performed 07S57 CPS replacement.
09S09 Speed Control System Modifacation (Installed Universal Fused Jumper Harness).
Both took less then a .5 HR. very pleased. New CPS part # is F7TZ-12K073-B
New Wire Assembly part # is 8W7Z-14A411-C
had the same 2 recalls done and it took the 4 hours but that also included a full inspection of the truck and i found out the seals in my oil cooler are leaking.

No big deal there, I haven't done it but its not a big job. There's help here if you need it.
I started having problems with losing the Ford ones every 3-5K miles, so at a suggestion I switched to the International one about 35K miles ago and haven't had a problem since. They look EXACTLY like the current Ford one, one would think they should be the same but apparently they arent.
Current International part number is 1876735c91. My local International Dealer charged me $19 for it.
thanks guys i did alot of reading on this forum and got alot of tips on fixin up my ride. i ordered the oil cooler kit from diesel o-rings.com and will be doing it this weekend.
