A couple questions
On monday I bought a 04 F-250 FX4 Crew Cab 4x4 with 113,000 miles. It has the 6.0 Powerstroke Engine. Truck runs and looks GREAT but I have a couple of questions:
1.) When I hit a bump I can hear a Knock coming from the drivers side front tire, I cn also feel it a little in the floorboard. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be?
2.) When I stop at a light and when i leave a light (stop and go) I can Feel what it seems to be 2 clunks (like it is taking up play) but there is no sound.. Just 2 jolts. Where should I start looking?
3.) Has anyone had any specific problems with this model truck? I have been reading the tech folders but just wondering if anyone has anything else to put it?

1. Could be sway bar bushings. Could also be ball joints. Needs to be checked out.
2. Sounds like a driveshaft slip joint problem. Very common. Check the tech folder sticky for how to lube it. Easy to fix.
3. The '03 and '04 6.0 PSD had most of the problems, but many of them also had no problems at all. Best thing is to get down to the 6.0 diesel forum and start studying. Meanwhile, if no symptoms, no worries.
