A little workout

Gave my monster a little workout last week...

We hauled it down to Phoenix where BulletProof split it in half.
You can find the rest of the story HERE.

Holy cab Batman! I didn't know they could split a truck in half like that! Are they replacing the engine or just fixing the issues?

Mainly, they are replacing the OEM oil cooler with an improved aftermarket version from BulletProof.

Nice! When I saw my '05 with the cab lifted it was quite a sight to see. Sure is easy to get to everything that way!

I couldn't remember what all they were doing to it so I had to call him and ask him...
He says BulletProof is doing a Stage III upgrade. This consists of a new modified EGR cooler, a new modified oil cooler, new bypass oil filter that filters down to 10 microns, new heads with Stellite valve seats and new head studs. Out the door should be about $8K.

I have a friend who can't let their Excursion go and I've noticed a number of Ex owners feel the same way.
They have moved on to other vehicles but still have it.
In fact, I would even be bummed if/when they decide to sell it.
