I have been looking for a chrome cap that I can put on the top of my tailgate to add a little on my tailgate along with the new chrome bumper. The sites I have found don't seem to have them for the years 73 -79.
Does anyone have a site or source for these cap rails.
Id like to find a smooth plain chrome or stainless one as well. I used to put them on all of my pickups. Saves a lot of aggravating scratches and bumps on the top of the tailgate when you use it like a truck................I'll check out LMC.
I've got the rails and tail gate cap in a smooth stainless (I think it is, at least.) Put on by previous owner and I promptly took them off...they get hella hot when the sun hits them and I don't like putting my hand on them only to feel like I'm touching a frying pan. They are dinged up a bit and I won't ship, but if anyone in Amarillo area wants them they're free.
EDIT: This picture was when the tail gate cap was still on....I had already taken the bed rail covers off--they look similar, but banged up.
Agreed Montana.................I dont get it, you used to be able to buy them about anywhere. I dont like the looks of the plastic crap on the newer trucks, let alone on a dent...............I will keep looking............If I find something, I'll post it up..........
