I am not sure if i need a new spring or what happened here. I went to change my rear axle seal on the pass side and noticed that my spring looked very flat. I took off the tire on the drivers side and sure enough it has much more arch to it. Here are a couple pics. anybody seen this? should i just go the junk yard and get a new one?
looks like its time for a new set of auxiliary springs.
you should replace both sides.nows the time to double or triple them up too if you haul much......which sure looks like you do lol.
I just hauled 4000lbs of gravel in the bed of mine and it didn't mind it at all. I was thinking of just ditching those and going for airbags but not sure. $$$

Air Suspension Pros | Find Quality Suspension Lowering & Lift Kits cheap bags man. you can get em "buy 2, get 2 free" small compressor will do you just fine, 3/8 valve up, 3/8 down or just run a $7 ball valve or even just run a .89 schreader valve and your good to go. the ones i got are 3800 lb each bag. the spring is simple, instant and thought free overload protection but you gotta sink it a bit before they kick in. with airbags its instant start to finish. if you have a cheap little compressor you can actually use it like i do, set em up to lift your truck when fully inflated. puts a killer tilt on the trailer so its much easier to load/unload.
At one time I had Firestone air bags and 19.5" wheels on a Dodge Diesel, you could put a HUGE camper on it, pump up the bags and have unreal stability.
When I got to my destination I just let the air out of the bags so it woudn't ride like a buck-board.
only way to set up your airbags with a camper like that is have them not tied together at all. Independent fill and drain valves. If they are tied together, as you tip one way, the air goes out of that side and into the other actually making it worse. If they arremt together then each side stay the same pressure and height keeping it even the whole time
lol heres my personal input....get airbags man..preferably air lift..i got the 5000LB bags on the rear and the frontbags that sit inside the coils..!!! i love them!!!! haha..keeps the back up nice and high when im doing a scrap job. 100000% worth it in my opinion..and when not hauling anything..keep em at 8psi and theyre smooth.
